Chemical peels are usually indicated for facial glow and facial rejuvenation. It improves the overall look and feel of the skin; keeping it brighter, fresher and younger by preventing physiological and photo ageing.
There are 3 basic types of peels
1. Superficial Peel- A mild acid is used to penetrate only the top layer of the skin. It is used to treat slight skin discoloration and rough skin.
2. Medium Peel- Middle layers of the skin are exfoliated using acids like glycolic acid. It can be used to treat age spots, wrinkles, fine lines, freckles and skin discoloration.
3. Deep Peel- An acid like trichloroacetic acid is used to deeply penetrate the middle layers of the skin. Deep peels can have a great impact on the skin. Scars, freckles and age spots can be treated with deep peels.
Chemical peeling is a 15–20-minute procedure. It needs to be repeated 6-8 times to get desired results. It can be repeated after an interval of 15-20 days.
At SPARSH we used advanced, imported chemical peels, so there are no side effects and have minimal downtime.
Note: SPARSH recommends that chemical peeling be done at regular intervals is far better than periodic facials, as it provides many additional benefits, as stated above.
